Station 28, Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue’s department shop, operates out of the city shops on Parrott Way. The station is staffed by two mechanics who maintain the department’s vehicles.
The shop maintains our 31 vehicle fleet. This includes regular manufacturer recommended service on the vehicles, diagnostics, repairs, and pump maintenance. They also service all of the generators, saws, hydraulic tools, compressors, and generators in the district.
The shop also does work for outside fire agencies through executed contracts for vehicle maintenance and repairs. There is an hourly rate for regular maintenance and repair in addition to parts. Station Staff
Lead Mechanic David Green started with Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue in 2008 as a volunteer firefighter and was hired as a mechanic in June 2009. He has an ASE certification in heavy trucks and EVT certifications in ambulance and fire apparatus. Prior to Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue, he worked as a heavy truck mechanic for nine years.

David Green
Mechanic Michael Morris started with Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue in October of 2020. He has an Associate Degree in Diesel Technology and is currently working on ASE and EVT certifications.
Mechanic Morris started working as a mechanic when he graduated high school. He has worked on many different types of equipment, from over the road trucks, to heavy logging equipment, and even on mill equipment in an industrial setting. He has been a mechanic for 15 years.
